Gavin Mitford is an internationally accomplished Creative Producer and Director whose dynamic approach and artistic vision have brought critically acclaimed theatrical experiences to life across Australia, the UK, Japan, and beyond.
Within Australia he has engaged in community programs with the Sydney Lunar Festival, Dept Communities and Justice ' Seniors Christmas Concerts', Carlton School of Arts and is a board member of the Sydney Mechanics Schools of Arts.
Renowned for his ability to seamlessly blend artistic innovation with commercial insight, Gavin has led diverse creative teams in award-winning productions, including the celebrated Carrie: The Musical at QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre, and major international engagements such as The London Olympic Opening Ceremony 2012.
He has a long standing relationship with Andrew Lloyd Webber's REALLY USEFUL GROUP. in London, having been an original creative on THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and LOVE NEVER DIES. Gavin has been Associate Director at Japan’s prestigious Shiki Theatre and began his career as a member of Sydney Dance Company.
His extensive experience spans large-scale musicals, intimate theatre productions, and community-driven performance projects, reflecting his passion for storytelling.
